Southern Leisure RV Community has a jammed-packed activities program.

There is with something to do for long and short-term stays. From sports to games to crafts to parties, guests – including an RV Rally or a group – stay busy. Volunteers step up to run a card game or water aerobics or a league or a special event. Local artists may come onsite to teach a painting class dance lessons or to jewelry-making. Remember to bring along your kayaks and fishing poles too! The Historic Suwannee river is only minutes from the Southern leisure RV Community. The world class Chiefland 19 hole golf course is just a short drive from the RV Community Southern Leisure RV Community has an Activities Committee comprised of it’s guests to help ensure the activities program satisfies the majority. They also oversee and maintain a healthy activities’ fund.

10th Annual Fiddler Crab Festival
As many as 10,000 people enjoy the annual Steinhatchee Fiddler Crab Festival in Steinhatchee. Festival goers enjoy three days of food, music, and more than 150 vendors showing of their arts & crafts. A family weekend! It all kicks off with a parade, a fiddler crab race and includes a swamp water cook- off and lots of great entertainment! Anglers get a chance to have a little fun too at the fiddler crab fishing tournament. From a petting zoo to antique car show-there really is something for everyone to enjoy!

Wild Hog Canoe Race
In its 41st Year the race takes place on Florida's famous Waccasassa River and brings you through the heart of Florida's back country sightings of deer, wild boar, alligators and all types of snakes are a frequent occurrence for race contestants. The race covers 15 miles of twist and turns and the current rain fall can have a dramatic effect on the river, adding to the challenge. The race starts at the Waccasaassa bridge 6 miles west of the stop light in Bronson on state Road 24. It finishes at U.S. Hwy 19 at the Waccasassa bridge 6 miles south of Otter Creek.

Small town festival; big- time officially called the old Florida celebration of the arts, The Cedar Key art festival is one of the oldest art fairs in Florida.

63rd Annual Chiefland Watermelon Festival
To be held in historic down town Chiefland Fl. on the first Saturday in June. This will be a wonderful day of family fun and fanfare. We will have scores of vendors offering crafts, food entertainment, and information. There will be a parade featuring businesses, organizations and even a water melon pageant winners from our local tri-county community of Levy Gilchrist and Dixe Counties.
July 4th
4th of July Celebration in Williston
Family, food, fireworks and arcade are all on hand as we celebrate old glory! The festival features several food and beverage vendors as well as many other 4th holiday vendors. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family for an American spirit filled evening. Fireworks will be set off at dusk.

Suwannee's Annual Independence Day Celebration is scheduled for Saturday?
There will be vendors beginning at 10 AM at the vacant lot besides the Post Office, and a golf cart/ATV parade at 4:00, and finally - The best show on the Hidden Coast- fireworks beginning at dark.

Cedar key Labor day Auction
Auction goers will find great deals on lodgings, dining, fishing, fine art, gifts, fresh clams and more. As the organizations largest fund raiser of the year, the auction plays a vital role in keeping the chamber and the Cedar Key welcome center operational. All items are donated by local businesses, residents and artists. Many items are auctioned for a fraction of their value-providing a great opportunity to save.

Lost Rail Road in Williston Learn
The story of an old carnival train that derailed off its tracks just south of the little town of Williston, during a terrible storm. When the town’s people came out the next morning it had complete disappeared, or did it? Come master fully navigate your way through our mega maze of fun, and see if you can discover the Lost Railroad! Climb aboard our historical 1800's locomotive and railroad, and hold on tight! All ages will enjoy this adventure as it's not too scary but kind of spooky! It's fall family fun like never before!

Two Tails ranch is having its annual elephant appreciation day fund raiser! Come join the fun and learn all about elephants! There will be animal rides, face painting, live music and food! We will also have animal talks, encounters and demonstrations.

Kirby Farm Six Gun Territory All watch out!
We hear the Shadow Riders gang been hiding out in the back woods of the Kirby farm! Them train robbers are always up to no good! There'll be plenty of wild west fun and a very special reunion of gun fighters, can - can girls, and more from the original six gun territory.

Sixth annual Cedar Key Pirate Invasion weekend be fore warned , the Cedar Key pirates in paradise have invited a tango of pirates to the best little pirate town in Florida! This is a fun, safe and welcoming community experience attracting the attention of pirates and pirate groups from all over. It's great to be a pirate in Cedar Key, even if it's only for a weekend in September! Come celebrate the past with historical re enactors! Visit the historic pirate encampment and watch the epic battle that is certain to be played out on the shores of Cedar Key.

Cedar Key Seafood Festival
Seafood festivals are common in Florida but we think the Cedar Key Seafood Festival is uncommonly appealing. It is Florida's second oldest seafood festival. The Cedar key seafood festival is the only time you can tour historic seahorse key which was built before the civil war.The festival features more than 200 arts and crafts exhibits, live music at several locations, a parade and lots of GREAT LOCAL SEAFOOD tasting opportunities are abundant.15

The peanut festival is in its 24th year. It features delicious food, assorted, rides, music, crafts, antique tractors and the little peanut king and queen Including the baby peanut contest. A petting zoo, pony rides and free grilled P. B. and J sandwiches while they last.

Come one come all to a Cedar Key Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Come watch the great Cedar tree of Cedar Key light up for the holiday season and sing some carols with your fellow neighbours. A wonderful way to kick off the season.

Watch Santa come to town on an elephant! Take a quick trek to the Christmas lighting ceremony, held at Heritage Park immediately following the parade. This exciting evening includes Christmas entertainment along with food and beverages.

Kirby Farm is transformed into a Christmas wonderland, an unforgettable holiday attraction the whole family can enjoy. There are lots of activities to see and do, including the featured train ride through thousands of Christmas lights pulled by an old fashioned full size 1800's locomotive, one of only three just like her still in operation in the world.
